Animal Care Therapies has taken our commitment to pet health to a new level to ensure the quality of our products by having the Sprinks™ product line audited and approved by the National Animal Supplement Council. Both the NASC and Animal Care Therapies strive to assure and strengthen the virtue of the animal health product industry.
Who is the NASC?
“The NASC is a non-profit trade organization comprised of companies committed to providing health supplements and nutritional supplements of the highest quality for companion animals, primarily dogs, cats and horses” (NASC).
Why become a member of the NASC?
The NASC and Animal Care Therapies share many of the same values and philosophies concerning pet health and quality control guidelines that should be followed to ensure quality products. Animal Care Therapies joined
with the NASC in an effort to uphold strict quality control standards for manufacturing, labeling, and marketing of animal products.
NASC member expectations
“Members must actively participate in the promotion of animal health supplements as a means to maintain animal health, attend annual meetings and pay monthly dues. Members must agree to adhere to NASC’s quality standards, part of which includes submitting to an independent audit to ensure conformance with quality system requirements. In summary, NASC members must follow the guidelines of the organization and demonstrate a commitment to responsible conduct in the industry” (NASC).
More Information
Quality, accuracy, and safety unite in unison to ensure NASC members that ethical manufacturing and labeling systems are followed throughout the whole pet health industry. As members of the NASC, Animal Care Therapies underwent an extensive independent audit of our facilities in June of 2010. In October 2010, we were notified that we had received the Best Manufacturing Practices Certification, and were awarded the use of the NASC Benchmark Seal of Quality to display on our Sprinks supplement line. The NASC Seal of Quality allows Animal Care Therapies to display our commitment to the highest current standards of quality in the industry today to consumers.
Supporters and members of the NASC enforce and uphold Good Manufacturing Practice Standards in the marketing, manufacturing, and labeling of animal health supplements. NASC members also create objective and reasonable paths to fund and expedite the assembly and publication of statistically relavent research and actively partake in programs of ongoing vigilance to ensure the quality of ingredients in such products.
The NASC conveys understanding between manufacturers, distributors, retailers, veterinarians, federal and state regulators, the media, and animal owners about the emphasis of safe, high-quality products for the health and well-being of companion animals.
